Satyam employees your credibility is more important

What if Satyam Shuts down tomorrow?

Not trying to scare anyone, but looking at a possibility of what happens if Satyam shuts down soon. What happens to the 53,000 odd employees of Satyam?

In the current climate, it looks like no company is completely safe.  With the financial crisis on one side,  escalation of situation with Pakistan on the other,  terrorism ever present, and with mismanagement and rampant fraud added to the mix, any company can get into trouble over-night, as in the case of Satyam.

In such a situation employees in any company will normally,

- Start updating their resume.

- Post their resumes on online job sites.

- Contact recruiters to find a company that fits their skill-set.

Now if you are an employee of Satyam, you have to act fast.  With the reputation of the company tarnished, your credibility/reputation is so important - now more than ever. Within a few days, a lot of fakers will add Satyam to their employment record whether they worked there or not, because no one will be there to cross check.  Once people find a few of these fakes, they will start doubting every resume with Satyam in the employment history.

The only way for you to stay away from the fakers and prove that you are genuine is to build your on-line credibility - not only for yourself but also for your genuine Satyam colleagues.

At JobsByRef.com our mission is to help candidates who are genuine. The system has cutting edge features to help only people with genuine resumes. Create your profile for FREE! now and connect to your colleagues and increase your chances of being seen above all the fakers out there.

As an employee of Satyam, we are already in a very bad mood.

Please dont publish this kind of article in your blog which is otherwise an useful one.

WE WILL STAND TOGETHER TO FACE THIS SITUATION.

Venkat, the intention is not to create any bad feeling at all, rather the attempt is to help people through this situation. The need of the hour is for people to understand all their options and be prepared. The spirit that you are showing is commendable. I sincerely hope that Satyam does come out of this crisis soon for everyone’s sake.

Satyam-What business demands????? puts not only the stakeholders but also lots of other in grave dillema.
I have written about it in http://controversial-affairs.blogspot.com/2009/01/what-business-demand.html

[...] happens, what are you going to do as a Satyam employee?  Our suggestion to you is first, build your credibility. And in the process, build your network. There’s your silver lining. From knowing many people [...]

If an employer is truly lookin for talent why in this world is he going to look for a credibility of the company in which the candidate worked? This article is solely written to market your own product. Anyways folks in satyam - don’t panic by lookin at this article, if you think you have good talent you will definitely rock and roll. I have experienced such things. So keep your hopes high and work towards it. Important message for all recruiters, if you are lookin for a candidate for your company look for the talent and not for credibility.

Anand, You are right, employees credibility is not linked to the credibility of the company directly. Here I am talking about the credibility of the information in the resume.

In the post I have written “…Within a few days, a lot of fakers will add Satyam to their employment record whether they worked there or not, because no one will be there to cross check. Once people find a few of these fakes, they will start doubting every resume with Satyam in the employment history.”

So it is with respect to fakers out there who will take advantage of the situation and in turn make it harder for Satyamites who are looking to move out.

Anand,
You have misunderstood our usage of the word credibility. We are actually on the side of the Satyam employees. In our business, we see a growing number of fake resumes and the main reason for the creation of jobsbyref.com was to ensure that genuine candidates don’t get cheated out of good opportunities.

What ever the Satyam management has done, it is undeniable that Satyam is one of the top software service providers in the world - and that credit belongs to the employees - and no one can take that away from them!
